Gooch Fund Requests

Financial assistance is available to music students to help offset travel costs associated with conference travel and off-campus learning opportunities through the Bradford C. Gooch ’58 Endowment for Music. This endowment was created to honor the teaching of Robert Stewart and to provide general support for the music department with a preference for awards for outstanding music students and to assist with internship opportunities and off-campus learning opportunities for music students.

Concerto-Aria Competition

During Fall term each year, the Department of Music hosts the Concerto-Aria Competition. The competition offers a thrilling platform for talented musicians to showcase their artistry and technical skill. Open to both instrumentalists and vocalists, the competition provides the winner(s) the opportunity to perform with the University Orchestra in its Winter Term odd-year concert or the University Wind Ensemble in its Winter Term even-year concert.
