Music Facilities

University Violin Player

Housed in John and Anne Wilson Hall, the facilities available to the Department of Music are state-of-the-art. The main performance venue is a 300-seat Concert Hall which plays host not only to the University’s many student, faculty, and ensemble groups, but also world-renowned artists.

Attached to the Concert Hall, is a state-of-the-art production control booth featuring video and multi-track audio recording capabilities. Wilson Hall houses twelve practice rooms and studios, most with grand pianos and classrooms featuring the latest technology.

It also includes a listening library; a recording studio; and a multi-purpose technology lab for keyboard instruction, audio production and composition; acoustically designed faculty studios with a variety instruments; storage facilities for instruments; and rooms designed to facilitate student-faculty interaction, including a lounge, a kitchen, and a seminar room, among others.

Wilson Concert Hall

Wilson Concert Hall is a 300-seat state of the art concert hall, which plays host not only to the University’s many student, faculty, and ensemble groups, but also world-renowned artists.

Production Control Booth

The Production Control Booth, Wilson 3007, overlooks the Concert Hall and is the heart of Wilson Hall’s production facilities.

Recording Studio

Recording Studio, 4030A, is a small but professionally equipped space for audio production.

Technology Classroom

The Technology Classroom, Wilson 2020, contains 16 student pianos, a piano lab master controller, computer stations, a laser printer, a Yamaha grand piano, overhead projector, speakers, and an advanced instructor’s station.

Music Library & Listening Lab

Practice Rooms

Wilson Hall houses thirteen practice rooms, five with grand pianos and all with the finest soundproofing.
