Gooch Fund Requests
Bradford C. Gooch ’58 Endowment for Music Conference Travel Funding
Application Deadline: December 1
Overview
Financial assistance is available to music students to help offset travel costs associated with conference travel and off-campus learning opportunities through the Bradford C. Gooch ’58 Endowment for Music. This endowment was created to honor the teaching of Robert Stewart and to provide general support for the music department with a preference for awards for outstanding music students and to assist with internship opportunities and off-campus learning opportunities for music students.
Application Process
Students must submit the Gooch Fund Request for Conference Travel Funding application by the deadline in order to be considered for funding. The application can be found on the Gooch Fund Requests page on the Department of Music’s website. The application form must be completed in order to receive funding through the Bradford C. Gooch ’58 Endowment. It is the student’s responsibility to complete the application, and it must be completed solely by the student.
Applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be informed of their funding amounts by January 15. Funds will not be distributed until after this date due to the university’s closure for winter break. If the student has direct deposit through the university, funds will be dispersed through this method to the student’s bank account. If students do not have direct deposit, funds will be dispersed in the form of a check, to be picked up at the Business Office.
Upon the student’s return from the conference/event, they must email a brief reflection of the experience and submit to the Administrative Assistant and Department Head.
