Outdoor Education and Recreation
Outdoor Education and Recreation programming encourages students to maintain healthy habits, offering a variety of outdoor activities and classes as well as opportunities for friendly club and intramural competition year-round. Students have access to indoor and outdoor facilities, including fitness centers, an indoor pool and group exercise programs, as well as equipment rentals.
The Outing Club
The Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains provide a scenic playground for hikers, cyclists, climbers, paddlers and fly fishers. Through the Outing Club, you can explore them all — no matter your experience level.
Clubs and Intramurals
Through club and intramural sports, students can compete in dozens of sports year-round. In addition to leagues, our recreation programs include single sport days, casual tournaments, and faculty-staff-student interaction.
Group Exercise
Group Exercise offers group fitness classes on campus for all of the W&L community to enjoy. These classes are taught by students, faculty, staff, and community members and cover a wide variety of exercise types.
