General Policies
- Shuttles are for currently enrolled undergraduate and law students ONLY.
- Please note the costs associated with each trip as they have changed for the 23-24 academic year.
- Shuttles currently serve the Roanoke Airport, Charlottesville Airport or Amtrak Station, Richmond International Airport, and Dulles International Airport.
- We ask that you limit your luggage to one checked bag and one carry-on per person due to vehicle space constraints. During the start and end of terms, we understand this may not be feasible, but request that you notify us of your excess baggage prior to your trip.
Scheduled Shuttle Dates
- Normal University scheduled airport shuttles will run during break periods only. Please refer to the scheduled shuttle dates.
- Students wishing to be picked up or dropped off at an airport should plan their flight travel in accordance with the dates and times outlined below.
- Shuttles are distinguished by Airport Arrivals and Campus Departure periods. These shuttles do not run simultaneously.
- Airport Arrivals are the shuttle periods around breaks when students will be arriving at the airport and need rides from the airport back to campus.
- Campus Departures are shuttle periods around breaks when students are leaving campus and need a ride to the airport.
- Arrival times at airports will be 12:00 noon and 6:00 pm.
- Please note: Shuttles are scheduled to leave the airport at the times posted above and cannot delay departure. Please plan flights accordingly.
- Campus departure times will be 6:00 am and 12:00 noon.

Special Shuttle Requests
- Special shuttle requests are not permitted when transport is requested during a regularly scheduled shuttle period. Please refer to the scheduled shuttle dates.
- Special reservations for airport shuttles may be available outside of the regularly scheduled shuttle dates or times.
- The cost per shuttle will be the actual cost incurred to pay the Driver’s salary plus the federal mileage rate per mile.
- The estimated amounts are listed below but are subject to change.
- If more than one student is requesting the same shuttle, the cost will be divided among all riders.
- Special shuttle requests MUST be received at least 10 days before scheduled travel.
Reservation Policies
- Reservations for scheduled shuttles must be made at least 5 business days before the requested shuttle trip.
- Reservations for special shuttles made less than 10 business days prior to the trip will not be honored.
- Requests made on the day of travel will NOT be honored.
- Shuttles requested outside of the break schedule or departure/pickup times will be charged the full cost of the University’s expense for each shuttle.
- Special shuttle requests are not guaranteed to be fulfilled.
Scheduled Shuttle Costs/Billing
- Shuttle requests made after the shuttle form closes will be charged a 20% late fee.
- Student accounts will be billed the first week of the month following the student’s travel. The date posted to the student account will not show as the actual date of travel.
- Driver tipping is neither required nor expected.
Special Shuttle Costs/Billing
- Shuttles requested outside of the break schedule or departure/pickup times will be charged the full cost of the University’s expense for each shuttle.

Cancellation Policy
- No shows will be charged a $100 fee.
- A “no show” refers to a situation where a person fails to appear for a scheduled reservation without prior notice or cancellation.
- Cancellations must be made via the online cancellation form linked below.
- Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the scheduled trip; failure to do so will result in a $100 cancellation fee.
