Financial Obligations
New and active fraternity and sorority members are obligated to pay fees to their organization. These costs go toward national headquarters, housing corporations, chapter events, badges/pins, and more. The Business Office handles most of the final billing but contact the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life with any questions.

Interfraternity Council

Room and Board
The cost to live in the fraternity house is the same as living anywhere else on campus (University Housing flat rate) and therefore is not included in the chart above. Living in the house counts towards W&L’s residency requirements, and financial aid will cover the cost of housing. IFC fraternity members with a Fraternity Meal Plan can request a minimum 5 Meal Plan through the University but will still be obligated to pay the cost above. Fraternities with “W&L Meal Plan Only” default to the 20 Meal Plan and request a minimum of a 15 Meal Plan. Financial aid does not apply to the Fraternity Meal Plan. National Pan-Hellenic Council

Room and Board
Chavis House (10 Lee Avenue) serves as a dedicated housing option for the National Pan-Hellenic Council. NPHC organizations may apply to live and program in the space, with final decisions made by the Office of Housing & Residence Life (HRL) in partnership with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL). The cost to live in the house is the same as living anywhere else on campus (University Housing flat rate), and there is no required meal plan associated with the house.
