The information below applies to Business Administration majors in graduation classes starting with the Class of 2028 and forward. Graduating classes prior to the Class of 2028 should refer to the degree requirements found in the catalog under which they are registered. The information is intended only as a guideline. Requirements of the Business Administration Major 

(48 credits minimum)

Financial & Economic Foundations

  • ECON 1001 – Principles of Microeconomics
  • ACCT 1000 – Introduction to Accounting
  • FIN 2000 – Managerial Finance

Business Core Courses 

  • BUS 2002 – Fundamentals of Business Analytics
  • BUS 2100 – Foundations of Business Communication
  • BUS 2200 – Management and Organizational Behavior
  • BUS 2300 – Marketing Management
  • BUS 2400 – Ethics, Business, & Society

Distributional Requirements

(1 course from each)

  • Analytics (BUS courses between 3000-3099)
  • Integrated Organization Strategy (Consult catalog for most current list of accepted courses)

300-level Business or Finance Electives

(3 courses)

  • BUS or FIN elective
  • BUS or FIN elective
  • BUS elective

Note: No more than 2 FIN courses may count towards this requirement

Non-Business Requirements

(1 course from each)

  • Macro Environment
  • Human Considerations
  • Abilities, Skills, & Knowledge (ASK)
