The pool of four faculty are elected by the faculty and six students are appointed to the UBA. The Chair of the UBA is the Dean of Students or his or her designee. In the event that the Dean of Students determines he or she may have a conflict of interest, the Dean of Students shall appoint an alternate Chair. The Chair of the UBA will select one faculty member and one student from this pool to constitute a panel, with the chair, to hear a specific case. A pool of four Faculty members (two Undergraduate Faculty and two Law Faculty) is elected by the respective Faculty for staggered two-year terms. A pool of student representatives of the UBA (six total: three undergraduate and three law) is appointed by the Executive Committee of the Student Body for a one-year term.
The Executive Committee of the Student Body appoints one junior and two seniors for the undergraduate representatives, and one second-year and two third-year students for the Law School representatives.
Appeals arising from law students or organizations should typically be heard by a panel consisting of law faculty and law students; appeals arising from undergraduate students or organizations should typically be heard by a panel consisting of undergraduate faculty and students.
