London Internship Program
The Williams School coordinates Washington and Lee's eight-week program that combines classroom study and internships with firms in and around London. Students are matched with businesses and not-for-profits based upon their professional interests. In addition to the internship and classes, students are able to participate in London Week, which is an opportunity to visit Washington and Lee alumni and friends at their jobs and learn more about specific industries. Also included in the program are several guided excursions around London and across the UK, including trips to Edinburgh, Scotland, and Bath, England. Students also participate in an alumni chapter networking event during the program.
There is a fee for participation in the program, and students must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA in order to apply. The program is open to current sophomores and juniors. All W&L majors are welcome to participate. Housing, a shared flat, is arranged as a part of the program. Students will also be given an Oyster Card as part of the program fee, which allows unlimited travel on tubes and buses within Central London Zones 1 & 2.
If you would like to be considered for financial aid, please be sure to check the appropriate box on the application form.
