This page provides guidance for students who are thinking about majoring in Business Administration. Other majors and minors may have different requirements and expectations for courses. If you are interested in a different academic program, please check with that department or speak with your advisor to make sure you choose the right course.
Many different majors and minors at W&L require that you take a statistics course. There are several different course options (BUS 2002, ECON 2002, POL 2002, SOAN 2002) that meet that requirement. Because these courses cover overlapping material, you may only take one for degree credit. Your best choice depends on what you plan to study and which tools you want to learn.
NOTE: W&L is converting from 3-digit course codes to 4-digit codes in Fall 2026. The new numbers (e.g., 2002) for the old numbers (e.g., 202) will be used here.
