Opportunities for Students

At Washington and Lee, students learn in small, supportive classroom environments with one-on-one interaction with faculty and can select from a wide array of electives to meet their interests. Beyond the foundations of computer science, our students also develop effective communication and collaboration skills.

Student Research

The Computer Science faculty have a history of involving motivated students in research projects during the summer or academic year. As a beginning researcher, you will collaborate with one or more faculty members and possibly other students to investigate a research problem.

Honors Program

The Honors Program in Computer Science is an enrichment opportunity for students who demonstrate superior achievement in computer science. Honors work consists of research for and preparation of an honors thesis, which is supervised by a departmental advisor.
