Bachelor of Arts Requirements

- Required courses for the BA degree are CSCI 1100, CSCI 1200, CSCI 2100, CSCI 2200, CSCI 2300, as well as either MATH 1400 or MATH 2400. In addition, two electives in the range CSCI 3255 - CSCI 3600 and two additional CSCI electives are required.
- The entry point for the CSCI major is CSCI 1100: Intro to Computer Science.
- CSCI 1100 is the prerequisite for CSCI 1200: Data Structures.
- CSCI 1200 is the corequisite for CSCI 2200: Computer Organization.
- CSCI 1200 is the prerequisite for CSCI 2100: Software Development.
- Both CSCI 1200 and MATH 1400, MATH 2400 are the prerequisites for CSCI 2300: Algorithm Design and Analysis.
- CSCI 2100 is the prerequisite for CSCI 3100: Programming Language Design and for most 3000-level CSCI electives.
- MATH 1400 or MATH 2400 are the prerequisites for CSCI 3300: Theory of Computation.

- Required courses for the BS degree are CSCI 1100, CSCI 1200, CSCI 2100, CSCI 2200, CSCI 2300, CSCI 3100, CSCI 3300, as well as either MATH 1400 or 2400, MATH 1220 and MATH 2100. In addition, two electives in the range CSCI 3255 - CSCI 3600, two additional CSCI electives, and two additional MATH electives at the 2000-level or higher are required.
- Note that, unlike the BA degree, the BS degree requires both CSCI 3100 and CSCI 3300 and four additional MATH classes.
