Safety and Security
Office of Public Safety
Our Public Safety department manages our parking issues, safe-ride program and Emergency Management Plan, and officers patrol campus day to day to ensure campus security. Available 24/7 by phone or the LiveSafe App, Public Safety encourages all students to program the emergency number into their phones and to download the app when they arrive on campus.
Keeping students, employees and visitors secure and safe is Public Safety’s primary concern. Because of Public Safety’s requirement to also be the enforcement agency of the university, our officers deal with a variety of issues and work to address all situations with the highest degree of professionalism.
Public Safety is committed to educating all members of the university community on making decisions that promote positive experiences during their journey through Washington and Lee.
