If you want to get a feel for W&L and really understand what we offer, consider coming to Admitted Students Day. It's a day just for you -- to show you the ins and outs of this campus and community. Attend an academic department open house and meet and mingle with faculty and students. Take a guided campus tour. Eat in the dining hall. Pick up a W&L t-shirt to wear proudly throughout the summer.
Spring is a busy time of year. And Lexington may not be a short daytrip for you. Please consider joining our alumni and other admitted students at a reception for you in a number of cities across the U.S.
As you make your final choice of where to attend college, or you begin to think about all that must happen between now and your first day on campus, you're sure to have questions. Knowing who to contact shouldn't be one.
Current students are standing by to answer your questions. Feel free to ask them anything -- from what's the single most important item to bring to your dorm room to what meal you should definitely not skip at the Marketplace. No question is too big or too small.
**Chat is suspended while students are off campus for Spring Break. Live chat with students will resume Monday, April 24th at regular hours, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM (EST). You can also use the green chat button in the lower right-hand corner to leave a message and receive a response within 24 hours.
This is an exciting time of year at Washington and Lee. In addition to admitting the newest members of our community, our current students are prepping for year-end experiences that take their education in new directions.
Take a moment to see what awaits you as a first-year student. Fun and challenging coursework and co-curricular opportunities can begin this summer, before school even starts, and extend through the following summer.
We affectionately call the campus and surrounding city of Lexington "LexVegas." It's a happening area, with something for everyone. From downtown to the great outdoors, from the campus commons living room to the basement stage of Friday Underground. Follow our student-run social media team, @wluLex, to get a feel for what it's like to be a student.
We've created a Facebook group for the W&L Class of 2021. The group is only available to students who have already joined the class and it is moderated by our student-led First-Year Orientation Committee. Don't be shy to ask questions -- someone else likely has the same question. These current sophomores and juniors have the answer.
We've also started a channel on Group Me, to let confirmed students chat casually with one another.
You're in. Now look the part and tell the world. We've put together some W&L graphics in standard sizes to augment your online persona. Change your Facebook profile or add a W&L logo to your Twitter or Instagram page. Use these graphics to share your excitement about admission to W&L.
