Internships and Experiences
Internships and other extra-curricular experiences during the summer or academic year give students an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-life experiences, meet others working in fields they are interested in, and to learn about themselves. The Internships and Volunteer Opportunities page lists names of organizations, companies, and sectors where CBSC students and alumni have worked and internships, volunteer opportunities, and/or paid positions are available.
Each summer, one W&L CBSC major joins The Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities as an intern. The student is chosen by W&L CBSC faculty from interested majors. A call for student applications happens late Fall term.
Sign up for the Office of Career and Professional Development’s Canvas Course to have access to a variety of resources, including postings of internships.
