How to Discuss CBSC Lab Work

Post-W&L

Student panel

Regardless of what career path you pursue after graduating from W&L, your experience in a Cognitive and Behavioral Science Lab will provide at least one perspective, skill, piece of knowledge, approach, etc. that will be relevant to your future. Think about your experience in the lab and how what you did/what you learned might translate to other careers after graduation.

Questions to consider:

  1. What is your general career path?
  2. How long were you member of the lab and what projects were you involved in during your time in the lab?
  3. Is there content knowledge you learned in the lab?
  4. Are there skills you acquired in the lab?
  5. Are there more general ways of thinking or perspectives you gained in the lab?
  6. Now consider your career path above, how might the knowledge, skills, and perspectives gained in the lab apply to or be relevant to your career path?
