Submit an Audition
Audition Submission Guidelines
Prospective students who are interested in pursuring their theater, dance, and/or film interests at W&L are encouraged to upload their work through the admissions applicant portal.
Students may submit any of the following for consideration.
Acting
Link to a video of a 1–2-minute monologue.
Musical Theatre
Link to a video of a 1-2 minute monoglue and a 1-2 minute musical piece where you are the only singer.
Design
5-10 images of your work representing production, design, or technology from a realized or conceptional work.
Playwriting
5-10-page excerpt of an original script
Stage Managing
3-5 pieces of stage management paperwork
Dramaturgy
3–5-pages of original research for a conceptional or realized production
Performance
Link to 3-5-minute video of a formal or informal dance performance. Please include two differing styles of dance not to exceed 5 minutes combined. Please do not upload video that includes dancers other than yourself.
Choreography
Link to 3–5-minute video of original choreography with brief statement of creative intent (Please note if you are also the dancer.)
Short Film/Video
Link to 3–5-minute film/video with brief statement of creative intent
Visual Storytelling Portfolio
8-12 photographs or story board sequence that tell a story or explore a theme
Written Creative Work
3-5 pages of original screenplay or short story of 750-1000 words
