Alumni Volunteers

Volunteer Leaders Make the Difference

Our Alumni Association's mission is to increase alumni connections with the university. The association is led by the Alumni Board of Directors, in partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement. The backbone of the association is its numerous chapters across the United States and abroad. Working together, we hope to create satisfying experiences for our alumni. We also communicate alumni views to the university and, in turn, communicate university issues, events and policies to alumni, with the goal of increasing their knowledge of and affection for Washington and Lee.

Alumni Admissions Program

Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) volunteers are enthusiastic W&L alumni who conduct interviews and can answer questions about Washington and Lee and the admissions process. Alumni interviews are conducted in person (in your locality if possible) or virtually between October and January.

Submit a Board of Trustee Nomination

The Alumni Association solicits nominees from all alumni for consideration to be one of three candidates on an alumni ballot for election to W&L’s Board of Trustees. Any alumnus/alumna may nominate a proposed candidate.
