Pre-Health Professions

Program Advisor helping students

Washington and Lee University offers students interested in pursuing a career in the health professions a vast array of resources. Starting in their first year, students will work closely with the pre-health advisor to plan courses required for admission, available summer opportunities, and their timeline for applying. In addition, pre-health students are encouraged to select any undergraduate major and should use the liberal arts education to develop strong ethical reasoning, communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving, research and analytical skills, adaptability, interpersonal skills, and creativity and innovation.

Not sure if the pre-health path is right for you? Sign up for the CPD Canvas course to join the healthcare industry group and schedule an appointment in Handshake with Brittany Carr to discuss next steps.
