How did you evolve and grow when you were in college?

I am a country mouse who moved to a big city for college and the shock of emerging from underneath a very sheltered life had me reeling. It was a weird juxtaposition of coming into myself as a person and battling my fear of growing up. I survived by finding friends who embraced my inner child without judgment.
