John Cataldi
John F. Cataldi is a retired FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge from the Kansas City office. He has served in the US Navy (Reserve) and the US Army (Regular Army and Reserve). His government and military careers have taken him to conflict scenarios throughout the world.

Program Affiliations
Professor Cataldi is originally from New York City. He entered academia after a career in the military and government. Cataldi began his service in the US Navy Reserve as a junior officer in the Merchant Marines. After graduation from Kings Point, he branch-transferred to the US Army where he served as a Combat Engineer and Special Forces Operator. After the Army Cataldi served in the FBI for 25 years as a Special Agent and Executive Manager. His experiences include 9/11 recovery operations at the Pentagon and service in the combat theaters of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Research and Training
My research interests focus on the broad topics of conflict and change. My primary objective is to seek out multiple perspectives for maximum learning potential and critically evaluate options for social improvement. I provide Sociology courses in the areas of Conflict, Aging and Criminology.
