Samantha Baker

I’m originally from California, but I made my way to Virginia for college, where I attended Sweet Briar College. After graduating, I returned to Sweet Briar to start my career in admissions. I began as an Admissions Counselor, and over time, I became the Assistant Director of Admission and Fly-In Program Coordinator. I later transitioned to the University of Lynchburg, where I worked as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Events Coordinator.

In August 2024, I joined Washington & Lee as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Campus Visit Coordinator. In this role, I work closely with prospective students and their families to create a welcoming and informative visit experience, helping them explore all that the university has to offer. I also oversee the University Ambassador Program, working with a fantastic group of student leaders to ensure our visitors feel welcome and informed as they explore our campus.
