Dining Services An Award-Winning Dining Program

Your Dining Services team is committed to preparing food from-scratch, in small batches as close to service as possible. We are passionate about food and take pride in serving skillfully-prepared meals that are fresh, never-frozen and hand-crafted from the highest quality ingredients. We source at least 20% of our food from local farmers, growers, and artisans. Our menus emphasize fresh, local and healthy options and are available in a variety of venues and formats, from all-you-care-to-eat to On the Go! to specialty catered events.

All of our menus emphasize the use of fresh ingredients and from-scratch cooking methods. This year we will be leveraging the Campus Garden for ingredients daily… hyper local nutrition! We understand that dining is an integral part of life on campus. That’s why we continue to refine a dining program that focuses on: the quality, variety, and freshness of the food; meal plan options that provide increased flexibility and value; a service-oriented approach that is founded on continuous improvement as determined by student feedback and provides for individualized attention to students with special dietary needs.

Faculty and Staff

We pride ourselves on a well-rounded and inclusive dining program that meets the needs of the entire campus community, including our faculty and staff. We offer two different meal plan options as well as catering services for University Employees.


Washington and Lee University Catering offers a variety of services to the campus and local community. Located in Evans Hall, University Catering can accommodate groups of 5 to 500. We also offer catering services in the Elrod Commons, the E Café, the Brief Stop and off-site locations.
