WLUR Announces Fall Open Air Waves Winners Robinson, Bishop among night's top performers
Washington and Lee junior Michael Robinson won the grand prize at the fall term edition of Open Air Waves, WLUR's live-broadcast open mic night, held in the Elrod Commons living room on Thursday, Nov. 12.
Robinson was selected as the evening's top performer for his rendition of a George Ezra song and a Pearl-Jam inspired version of the 1960s classic "Last Kiss".
Tommy Bishop '18L was the second-place overall finisher for his instrumental guitar performances. A lengthy list of third-place recipients featured W&L sophomores Ralston Hartness, Claire Hoffert, and Keenan Willard for solo music, as well as juniors Austin Frank and Caleigh Wells for the lone group performance of the night.
