The Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics
London Internship Program
The Williams School coordinates Washington and Lee's eight-week program that combines classroom study and internships with firms in and around London. Students are matched with businesses and not-for-profits based upon their professional interests. In addition to the internship and classes, students are able to participate in London Week, which is an opportunity to visit Washington and Lee alumni at their jobs and learn more about specific industries. The marquee event during London Week is an alumni reception.
There is a fee for participation in the program, and students must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA in order to apply. All W&L majors are welcome to participate in the program. Housing, a shared flat, is arranged as a part of the program.
There is the possibility for limited internships. See Prof. Oliver to talk about it. Also, look into the State Department's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship if you are eligible for a Pell Grant.
