Advisory Boards and Councils

Board of Advisors

The Williams School Board of Advisors consists of alumni and parents of Washington and Lee, who offer advice to the Dean and faculty on all areas of the school's curriculum and programs. The board consists of industry leaders from across the country and the world. Members reflect the school's four departments: accounting, business, economics, and politics.

Young Alumni Council

Each year the Williams School taps alumni who are five and 10 years removed from their Washington and Lee experience to join its Young Alumni Council. The council meets on the Friday afternoon of Young Alumni Weekend, with alumni receiving a general update on the school and the opportunity to participate in a mentoring event with students. Throughout the year, the Williams School engages in an ongoing dialogue with council members about how we can increase opportunities for students.

Accounting Advisory Board

The Accounting Advisory Board provides advice to faculty and students in the Department of Accounting. The board’s members are employed by major accounting firms and are positioned to be able to provide advice on curricular improvements as well as career preparation. Members regularly return to campus to sit on the Accounting Panel and to speak at Beta Alpha Psi meetings. The Accounting Department hosts an annual Accounting Advisory Board meeting in Washington, D.C. each spring.

Entrepreneurship Advisory Board

The Connolly Center for Entrepreneurship receives support from a group of dedicated Washington and Lee alumni who have years of experience creating, building and selling successful companies.
