Note about online foreign language placement test results in Self-Service for French, Spanish, Latin, and German
After completing your online placement test for French, Spanish, Latin, or German, you receive points -- a raw score -- which W&L uses to place you into the appropriate-level language class. In your Self Service Student Planning Test Scores screen, the placement score posted is the course number that you are placed into.
For example, a Self Service French score of 161 means that your raw score placed you into FREN 161: Intermediate French I for fall term. Placement results are entered into Self Service by the appropriate department between early August and early September.
More information about interpreting your Self-Service placement scores and registration recommendations can be found at www.wlu.edu/university-registrar/policies-and-procedures/placement-results.
