After Graduation

Politics Majors acquire critical, analytical and practical skills that enable them to pursue any number of careers. As a result, there is no "typical" career path for a politics majors. In recent years, our graduates have gone on to law school, graduate school and other professional schools. They have pursued careers in public service, state, local and national politics, the foreign service, investment banking, and teaching.

Our internship programs in Washington and New York frequently serve as a starting point for careers in government or finance. While the Politics major equips students with a variety of skills, an equally important part of selecting one's career path is to work closely with the Office of Career and Professional Development. They offer a wealth of resources ranging from career counseling to resume preparation, interview preparation and the scheduling of job interviews.
