Lauren Stearns Jensen Director of Experiential Programming for the Williams School
Lauren Stearns Jensen is the Director of Experiential Programming for the Williams School at Washington and Lee, a role she began in July of 2017. She joined Washington and Lee as a member of the development staff in 2013, where she served as associate director of annual giving managing W&L’s class agent and reunion giving volunteer programs as well as W&L's Annual Fund Council.
As a member of the Williams School’s leadership staff, Lauren works with the Dean of the Williams School, faculty, and campus partners to plan and implement co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, events, speakers, and trips. In this role, Lauren enjoys engaging with alumni, parents, and friends of the university who volunteer their time to make these initiatives a success. She also loves working with W&L’s many amazing student organizations like the Williams Investment Society and Money Matters!
Prior to returning to Lexington, Lauren worked in magazine publishing at both the Condé Nast Publications in London, England, and at Southern Progress Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama. Lauren earned her B.A. from W&L in 2002. She has volunteered on behalf of W&L as an alumni chapter leader and on her 10th and 15th reunion committees. Lauren’s husband, John, is the dean of career and professional development at W&L. Lauren and John reside in Lexington with their children, Jack and Grace. She enjoys travel, reading mystery novels, cooking, and attending her children’s many lacrosse games and dance performances.
