Margie joined Washington and Lee's development team in 2015 after serving as the director of major and planned giving at Sweet Briar College for three years. She also served as the director of development at the United Way of Central Virginia from 2008 to 2012 and taught English as an adjunct faculty member at Randolph College. Prior to her transition into development, Margie had a long career in investment management and banking culminating in her work at SunTrust Bank of Lynchburg, where she was vice president of private client services. Margie lives in Lexington and in Lynchburg, Virginia.
