Student Services and Support
Academic resources for students extend well beyond the classroom. Faculty advising, peer tutoring, career development, writing assistance and library and information technology services all help to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed in their four years at W&L and beyond.
Both professional and peer counselors are available to students in need, while CAIR Resources can help students with issues of discrimination, harassment or sexual misconduct. The University also sponsors a Safe Space program, which provides students with a network of faculty, staff, and students who are committed to being allies of the GLBTQ community.
We welcome students' families and friends to our campus for several major events each year, including Parents Orientation, Parents and Family Weekend and Commencement.
There are many services available to W&L students, including the University Card, Mail Service, Traveller Safe-Ride Service, and more.
The goal of Leadership Development is to create a culture of shared leadership that stresses individual significance, personal honor and integrity, harmonious relationships with others and the responsibility to serve society through the productive use of talent and training.
Class deans provide programming and support tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges that students face during each step of their W&L education.
