A junior was accused of Possession Under the Legal Age and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Possession Under the Legal Age by a 9-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 9-0 vote.

The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Assessment of a conduct incident
  • A $50 fine
  • A letter sent home to his/her parents
  • 10 hours of community service

A senior was accused of Possession Under the Legal Age and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Possession Under the Legal Age by a 9-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 9-0 vote.

  • A letter sent home to his/her parents
  • 25 hours of community service

December 10, 2011

A freshman was accused of Possession of Marijuana and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana by a 9-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 8-1 vote.

The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Suspension from Washington and Lee for Winter Term 2012, with earliest re-admittance Spring Term 2012
  • Mandatory alcohol education and counseling upon re-admittance.
  • Conduct probation for 52 weeks upon re-admittance.

January 31, 2012

  • Conduct probation for 52 weeks
  • Restitution for damages to university housing
  • A $50 dollar fine

A sophomore was accused of Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 9-0 vote.
