On March 19th, a Washington and Lee First-Year Law student was accused of Physical Assault and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Physical Assault by a vote of 8-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 5-3. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks

200 hours of community service 

University Counseling Center consultation 


On March 16th, a Washington and Lee Senior was accused of Physical Assault and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Physical Assault by a vote of 8-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 5-3. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

100 hours of community service


On March 5th, a Washington and Lee First Year was accused of Possession of Marijuana and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Possession of Marijuana by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 0-7. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks

50 hours of community service 


On February 12th, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Parapehernalia, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Possession of Marijuana by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found responsible of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 7-0. 

The following sanctions were assessed:

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks

100 hours of community service


On February 12th, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of Public Intoxication, Possession under the Legal Age, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Public Intoxication by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found responsible of Possession under the Legal Age by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 0-7. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks 

10 hours of community service


On January 30th, a Washington and Lee junior was accused of Driving Under the Influence and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and lee student. He/she was found responsible of Driving under the Influence by a vote of 9-0. He/she was found responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 6-3. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

Suspension for Fall Term 2017 


On January 23rd, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of Physical Assault and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found not responsible of Physical Assault by a vote of 0-8. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 3-5. 


On October 30th, a Washington and Lee junior was accused of Public Intoxication and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Public Intoxication by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 7-0. 

The following sanctions were assessed:

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks

20 hours of community service

On October 30th, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of Possession under the Legal Age and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Possession under the Legal Age by a vote of 7-0. He/she was found not responsible for Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 4-3. 

The following sanctions were assessed:

Conduct probation for the next 52 weeks

Alcohol education consultation

30 hours of community service


On October 23rd, a Washington and Lee 5th-Year senior was accused of Driving under the Influence and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Driving under the Influence by a vote of 9-0. He/she was found responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 9-0. 

The following sanctions were assessed:

Delayed eligibility for reinstatement until December, 2016

$600 fine to go towards alcohol education programs 


On October 11th, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of illegal possession of marijuana and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Illegal Possession of Marijuana by a vote of 9-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 8-1. 

The following sanctions were assessed:

On October 9th, a Washington and Lee senior was accused of Possession under the Legal Age, Public Intoxication, Failure to Comply, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Possession under the Legal Age by a vote of 10-0. He/she was found responsible of Public Intoxication by a vote of 10-0. He/she was found responsible of Failure to Comply by a vote of 10-0. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 10-0.

On October 9th, a Washington and Lee sophomore was accused of Illegal Possession of Marijuana, Failure to Comply, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found responsible of Illegal Possession of Marijuana by a vote of 10-0. He/she was found not responsible of Failure to Comply by a vote of 9-1. He/she was found not responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 10-0. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

Conduct probation for 52 weeks

Drug education consultation

$100 fine

Letter home to parents


On September 27th, a Washington and Lee Second-Year Law student was accused of Driving under the Influence and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found not responsible of Driving under the Influence by a vote of 7-1. He/she was found responsible of Conduct Unbecoming by a vote of 8-0. 

The following sanctions were assessed: 

100 hours of community service, 60 of which must be completed in Lexington
