Originally from Cuba, Rolando Sarabia enjoyed 35 years of his professional career as a dancer. He became the Ballet Master of the National Ballet of Cuba and later the Ballet Master of the National Ballet of Ecuador, where he stayed for eight years. As soloist principal dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba, Sarabia interpreted roles in ballets La Fille Mal Gardee, Giselle, Coppelia, Don Quixote, among others. His international experience includes performances in over 50 countries, all continents, and companies such as Ballet Theatre Teresa Carreno in Venezuela, Cali Ballet in Colombia, Giona Campobello Company in Mexico, and renowned institutions such as Paris Opera, Bolshoi and Kirov.
