Can I use my gaming device on the W&L wireless network?

Yes, just register it following the steps below.

How do I register my personal electronics (including gaming devices) so that they can be used on the W&L wireless network?

  1. Find your Media Access Control (MAC) address
  2. Fill out the self-registration by following these steps:
    1. Click on the registration link here
    2. Enter your W&L credentials for the ClearPass login
    3. Click on the tab that says, "Create Device"
    4. Give the device an appropriate name such as, FirstLast_XBOX
    5. Provide the MAC Address
    6. Click "Create Device"
  3. Turn your device off and unplug - removing power for at least 30 minutes prior to registration
  4. Attach the registered device to the WLU network

Why is my game device not working?

Game devices such as the Xbox 360 and Wii and other special-purpose network devices such as the Roku do not function on the secure wireless network until you register them for use (see above).

What electronic devices can I connect to the wireless network?

  • XBOX
  • Kindle
  • PS2
  • PS3
  • PSP
  • Apple TV
  • Nintendo DS
  • Wii
  • Roku

Chromecast, Google Home, and devices requiring direct communication with another device to be set up are not supported.
