Download Microsoft Office Software for Students

Use this procedure to check for the most recent versions of Microsoft Office for Macintosh and Windows PC. Uninstall older versions of Office before proceeding with installation.

For the PC

  • Sign into Office365 with your W&L credentials at mail.wlu.edu
  • At the top of the page, click on the Settings gear icon and select "Office 365" under "My app setings"
  • At the bottom of the page, choose the Software tab



  • As seen on the Office page screen shot below, select a Language, and then choose Install
  • Sign in with the Organizational account with your full email address and password

For the Mac

  • Sign into Office365 with your W&L credentials at mail.wlu.edu  
  • At the top of the page, click on the Settings gear icon and select "Office 365" under "My app settings"
  • At the bottom of the page, choose the Software tab

  • As seen on the Office page screen shot below, select a Language, and then choose Install
  • Sign in with the Organizational account with your full email address and password
  • Once the software has downloaded, double-click on the .dmg in the download file to launch the installer
  • When installing choose, "Sign into an Existing Office365 subscription"
  • Sign in with your full W&L email address
  • Choose "Organizational Account" and enter your full email and password
  • You be will asked to register your account
  • Select Yes for updates. Select No for customer experience
