IQ Center Policies

The classroom spaces are open for reservation at any time to W&L Faculty using the online reservation system here. We request that you do not book classroom spaces for an entire semester, but rather reserve classrooms for units lasting no more than 3 weeks at a time. Classrooms cannot be booked through the registrar.

Classroom spaces can be reserved by non-faculty groups through special arrangement with the coordinator.

Classroom spaces are unlocked 24 hours a day and will be staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Instrument suites may be booked using the online reservation system here. Details about how to use the system and how to integrate it with Outlook can be found at the reservations page. Students must be trained and receive approval from a faculty member or the coordinator in order to use any microscope unsupervised.

Access to instrument suites is controlled using an ID reader on the door.

Training is available throughout the year. Contact the IQ center coordinator, Dave Pfaff at 540-458-8044 for details.

Printing in the IQ center is billed automatically to your department. Printing on the 3D printer must be logged and will be billed manually once per semester.
