Performance Rating Definitions

During the end-of-year PATH process, employees and managers are prompted to select ratings to assess performance. The definition for each PATH rating is shown below.

Does Not Meet Expectations - immediate improvement required

Approaching Expectations - may have fallen short of expectations or may be a new employee still learning.  Needs additional coaching to meet expectations  

Strong Performance - Consistently meets all expectations. May exceed expectations in focused areas  

Excellent Performance - Consistently exceeds expectations; serves as role model in nearly all aspects of job performance  

Unable to Rate - used when goals change or goal completion extends beyond the year-end evaluation.
