Campus Speakers

Speakers and frequently come to W&L to give lectures in various campus locations. These events are usually free and open to the public. Visit the University Calendar for a complete schedule.

Dining Services

Whether you use your University Card or cash, all Faculty/Staff receive $1 off at the Marketplace. To check your balance or add funds to your University Card, log in to your eCard.

Fitness and Athletic Facilities

Washington and Lee offers a variety of fitness options for faculty and staff. From free Fitness Center memberships for employees and their families, to Outing Club equipment and trips, to group fitness classes, there are opportunities for everyone, regardless of current fitness level or area of interest.

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services offers a variety of services, including computer classes, online books, personal assistance and access to Atomic Learning (online self-paced tutorial to over 400 software products).

Lenfest Center for the Arts

Home of the departments of theater, music and art, the Lenfest Center is a multi-use facility which accommodates a broad spectrum of the performing arts. Tickets are required for most Lenfest events - a reduced admission will be charged to W&L students, faculty, and staff. The Lenfest Center's Box Office follows the University's Academic Calendar and is generally open, Monday - Friday, 9-11am and 1-3pm, and 1 hour before each ticketed performance, 540-458-8000.

University Libraries

Leyburn and Telford Science libraries are open for W&L community access 24 hours a day, 7 days per week during the academic year. All employees have access to the libraries, reference desks, and Special Collections of the Leyburn and Telford libraries. Employees can check out library media, including books, CDs, VHS tapes, and DVDs. Computers are available for public use; the library has several computer labs available for those with access to the Washington and Lee network. Easels are also available for check-out for departments or individuals. Laptop computers, still and video cameras may be checked out as well. The Information Desk at Leyburn Library is staffed by Access Services and Reference personnel as well as ITS computer assistants.
