The University offers interest-free loans to purchase a personal computer and printer. Employees must have completed six or more months in a benefit eligible position. Washington and Lee University supports the academic achievement and professional development of its staff members. As evidence of that commitment, employees who have a high school diploma or the equivalent in regular full-time or regular part-time, benefit-eligible positions are eligible to take up to two Washington and Lee undergraduate or law courses per term without any tuition charge.
Full-time faculty members and full-time exempt employees are eligible to apply for University housing loans. These housing loans may be used to purchase, build or improve a principal residence in the Lexington-Rockbridge County area. The APR on a University-granted home loan is 25% less than the interest rate charged by Lexington financial institutions for residential mortgage loans.

Interested in eating locally? A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share is essentially a subscription to a farm or other local food supplier. The subscription format provides you with fresh, local produce (and eggs, cheese, meat, etc.) and allows farmers some predictability of demand and assurance that their hard work will end up eaten.
