Honoring Outstanding Classes
Each year, the Annual Giving office awards trophies to recognize collective class giving. These trophies recognize outstanding contributions from non-reunion-year classes. Class rankings as of June 30 determine the winners. The prestigious trophies reside in the Hotchkiss House on campus.
Winners are recognized for classes in the following categories:
- Five-Star: 50 years or more since graduation,
- General Alumni: 11 to 49 years since graduation,
- Young Alumni: less than 10 years since graduation.
The Bierer Trophy
Leading Class Participation in The President's Society
Awarded to the non-reunionist undergraduate classes with the highest percentage of members in The President's Society.

The Washington Trophy
Greatest Class Gift
Awarded to the non-reunionist undergraduate classes that raise the largest amount of money.

Exceptional Annual Fund Class Participation
Awarded to the non-reunionist undergraduate classes with the highest percentage of members participating in the W&L Fund.

The McCutcheon Trophy
Outstanding Class Participation in The 1749 Circle
