Beth Staples Begins Work as Shenandoah Editor in Fall 2018

The Department of English at Washington and Lee University is delighted to announce the hire of Beth A. Staples as Shenandoah's Editor-in-Chief, effective Fall 2018. Staples earned her MFA in Fiction Writing from Arizona State University in 2007. She comes to Virginia from Wilmington, North Carolina where she has been serving as Senior Editor of Ecotone and Editor of Lookout Books. 

Staples succeeds R. T. Smith, Editor-in-Chief since 1995. She will teach the Shenandoah for-credit internship, creative writing workshops, and other courses.
