Sisi Xiaoxi Liang ’10 Graduate Student in Quantitative Finance, Rutgers University

Becoming an English major at W&L is the best thing I've done in my life. In a tough job market, I still believe training in the English Department has given me a trajectory beyond measure. Strangely enough, while I'm also a Math major (and Math is a fantastic major with great career prospects), every single job I've had since graduation (jobs in both finance and legal sectors) was because I was an English major, and because I can write and communicate effectively.

I am currently pursuing a Masters of Quantitative Finance at Rutgers University and interning at a boutique investment bank as a financial analyst. I have also contributed articles at Forbes.com.
