Spencer is a Virginia native – he grew up in Amherst and attended James Madison University, where he received his B.S. in public health. Shortly after graduating, he attended the College of William & Mary and received his M.Ed. in higher education administration. He returned to Harrisonburg to work in JMU’s Office of Annual Giving before joining the Annual Giving staff at Washington and Lee in 2018. Spencer and his wife Courtney live in Harrisonburg.

Areas of Responsibility: Meets with alumni and other constituents to grow the Annual Fund through leadership gifts and The President’s Society membership.

Hobbies/Interests: Traveling, eating great food, watching Seattle Seahawks football, and spending time with his growing family.
