Amy Bersett Regional Director of Development

Amy Bersett, a native of York, Pennsylvania, joined W&L’s development staff in 2017. Previously, she was associate director of development for the Slippery Rock University Foundation and the lead development consultant to SRU’s therapeutic riding center. Before beginning her career in development, Amy worked in sales and recruiting in the San Francisco Bay Area. Amy is married to Jeff Bersett, Associate Professor at Westminster College. Amy and Jeff live in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania with their two children, Nathaniel (Nat) and Elizabeth (Lizzie). Amy serves W&L from her home office when she is not in Lexington.

Education: Washington and Lee University, B.A.

Areas of responsibility: Amy is part of the leadership gifts team responsible for securing private support from alumni, parents and friends of the University.

Hobbies/Interests: DIY and home décor projects, long walks with the dogs (a golden retriever and a 'Newfypoo' - a Newfoundland-standard poodle mix), running, reading, and hanging out at home with family and friends.
