Cassie is a native of New Jersey and is a Washington and Lee alum, along with her father Ted Ritter ‘73L, brother Matt ’99 and husband Greg ‘97. She began working in W&L’s development office immediately following her graduation in 2001. From 2003 to 2007 she served as director of the annual fund and from 2007 until 2010 as director of advancement operations. After two years as a senior associate with Bentz Whaley Flessner, Cassie returned to higher education at the University of Richmond, ultimately serving as director of advancement data and reporting. Cassie returned to W&L in 2015 to lead prospect development and research and now serves as executive director of advancement operations. Cassie and Greg reside in Botetourt County with their children, Conner and Katie, where Cassie also chairs the board of Community School in Roanoke.
