Custom Tabs

Most of your work in Ingeniux will be done in the Edit Form tab of the editor. This is where your page content resides. However, our latest version also includes several helpful custom tabs, which will help you in your work.

Horizontal Tabs:

These are the tabs that live at the top of the editor, above the edit screen.

  • Page View (Preview and In-Line Editing): Any page in the new system can be previewed within the CMS using the Page View tab. Choosing different devices in the "Device" drop-down will allow you to see what your page will look like on mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads. If you click on the small "Edit" button at the top left corner of the tab, you can actually make your edits in-line in the preview window. Click the "Preview" button when you are finished to preview your edits.
  • Analytics: If you're curious about traffic to your pages, you can click on the Analytics tab for any page to see page views and traffic sources.
  • Help Ticket: All requests for web help, including photography and documents to be added to your site, should come through our Communications Tracking Form. The form is accessible at http://go.wlu.edu/web and is also accessible from within Ingeniux using the Help Ticket tab at the top right corner of the editor..
  • Profiles: Our Faculty/Staff directory includes almost everyone who works at the University, so it can be unwieldy. We've created the Profiles tab that allows you to search for profiles by name and edit them within the tab. You can also upload, crop or change a thumbnail and headshot within the tab.

Sidebar Tabs:

These are the tabs that live on the left side of the editor, underneath the Site Tree.

  • Search: Search for names or words in the search section to find multiple references to that search term throughout the site.
  • Publish Monitor (under Administration): Selecting the Publish Monitor under the Administration tab will allow you to see what publishes are recently completed or currently in the queue. If you're wondering when your changes will be live on the site, this is the first place to check.
