From I-81 traveling South, I-64 traveling West
Follow Interstate 81/64 to Exit 195. Follow the exit ramp and then merge right onto U.S. Route 11 South. Follow for six miles into Lexington.
Route 11 will fork just after crossing the Maury River bridge at East Lexington. TTake US-11 Business to the right and follow it through the VMI campus. Turn right at the second traffic light (Nelson Street) and go straight, past Gaines Hall and the Lenfest Center, until you see the parking deck on your right.
From I-64 traveling East
Follow Interstate 64 to Exit 55. Follow the exit ramp, turn right onto U.S. Route 11 South.

Follow Interstate 81 to Exit 188B. Merge right onto U.S. Route 60 West and follow into Lexington, about 3 miles, where it becomes Nelson Street. Go straight, through downtown Lexington, past Gaines Hall and the Lenfest Center, until you see the parking deck on your right.

The Commencement ceremony will be held in the center of campus in front of the Lee Chapel, a short walk from the parking garage. Convenient access to the law and undergraduate Commencement Exercises and the undergraduate Baccalaureate Service is available for all those who are able to walk only short distances, have difficulty climbing steps, use a wheelchair, or need other special assistance. The University reserves parking spaces on Washington and Jefferson Streets immediately adjacent to the site of the ceremonies and arranges for special seating at the ceremony, when requested.
W&L provides sign-language interpreters for both Commencement ceremonies. Service dogs and family members in wheelchairs are welcome. Lexington Prescription Center (540.463.9166) is a local source for wheelchair rentals.
