ENGL 386/THTR 286 - Shakespeare in Performance

Professor Holly Pickett and Professor Jemma Alix Levy

Students will spend 2+ weeks in Stratford-upon-Avon and London, England, studying Shakespeare from both literary and theatrical perspectives. They will see performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre Company, among others, and will participate in workshops with scholars and artists.

Prerequisites: for ENGL 386, 2 200-level English classes. Prerequisites for THTR 286, None

Program Fee (paid to W&L): $3,740 This fee includes: Accommodation, program fees, breakfasts and lunches, in-country transportation.

Estimated Additional Costs: Airfare (estimate $1,200), daily lunches(estimate of $300), passport, visa (if applicable), inoculations (if applicable), cell phone, and spending money.
