Sarah Otey '07
Sarah Otey currently serves as the Director of Student-Athlete Reinstatement at the NCAA. In this role, Otey manages a 15 person team responsible for working with institutions across all three NCAA divisions on issues that impact student-athlete eligibility. Otey also oversees the NCAA staff liaisons for the Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committees in each of the three divisions. Prior to her current position, Otey served stints as both an Assistant Director of Academic and Membership Affairs (AMA) at the NCAA and an Associate Director of AMA. In each of these roles, her primary responsibility was providing legislative and interpretive support on NCAA rules and regulations to Division III institutions. Before she joined the NCAA staff, she was the Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Hollins University. In addition to her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Washington & Lee, Otey earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Virginia.
